In Edmonton there are a few things to look out for in the sprints. Ivory Williams of the United States is coming off of a 9.95 semi final performance at the US Championships but was involved in some controversy in the final as he was DQed for a false start. He'll match up against Lerone Clark of Jamaica who has a PR of 9.99 from 2009, but this season has only run 10.19. The US's Me'Lisa Barber will headline the women's 100 meters.

The mid distance will feature 2008 Canadian Olympian Taylor Milne (3:36.00 PR) in the 1500 as he comes off a runner up finish at the Canadian Championships. The 800s looks to be the deepest for both the men and the women. The NCAA Indoor 1000 meter record holder, Kate Van Buskirk of Duke, will drop down in distance where she holds a seasons best of 2:06. Van Buskirk was fourth at the Canadian Championships for 1500 meters. Georgie Clark will also run the 800 meters with a PRof 2:01.73, however that was set back in 2000. Clark has run 4:10 this season for 1500. Lindsey Schnell of the US headlines the women's field with a 2:02.50 seasons best.

The men's 800 will include Prince Mumba (1:46.3 PR), Geoff Harris (1:48 SB), Richard Jones (LSU Grad, 1:46.42 PR) and 2008 US Olympian at the event, Christian Smith (1:44.86 PR in 2006). The meet will close out with the highlighted event of the evening, the women's 100 hurdles. The hurdles will feature the 2003 World Champion (won silver in 2007) and Canadian record holder, Perdita Felicien. Perdita has a PR of 12.46 in the hurdles and will look to put on a show in front of the crowd as she was ranked number five in the world last year, number six so far this year!

Stay tuned for the action in Edmonton and be on the look out for more previews and recap from the NTL series!
