Catching up on track results for the weekend. Most have already been reported in some fashion. The two that may have been easily missed were Kesselring in the German national championships and Francis on the winning 4x400 relay at the Pan Am meet. -GW

Walker's Pace: Stinson Takes Pan Am 10K Crown

Parker Stinson capped his junior running career by winning the men's 10,000 meters Saturday night at the Pan American Junior Championships in Miramar, Fla. The freshman from Austin, Texas, won easily in 30:37.88, which was more than 40 seconds faster than runner-up Said Diaz Ceron Jr., of Mexico (31:10.72).
On Sunday, Phyllis Francis helped the Americans win claim the 4x400 meter relay title. The freshman from Queens, N.Y., took the second leg as the U.S. won in 3:34.71. Canada was second in 3:38.99.
A pair of future Ducks also competed at the Pan Am meet over the weekend. Signee Greg Skipper was fourth in the men's hammer with a best toss of 207-6/63.26m. Signee Jenna Prandini went 19-4/5.89m to finish fourth in the women's long jump.
In other track action from the weekend, sophomore Anne Kesselring finished third in the 1,500 meters at the German National Championships in Kessel. She timed 4:17.25, which was just a second off her personal best. Corinna Harrer won the German title in 4:10.47.
Also, recent graduate A.J. Acosta placed second in the B section of the 1,500 meters at the KBC Night of Athletics in Heusden, the Netherlands. Acosta timed a season-best 3:38.77.
