USA Track & Field to host teleconference featuring Christian Taylor and Jason Richardson to preview 2011 World Outdoor Track & Field Championships
INDIANAPOLIS – USA Track & Field will host a national media teleconference featuring Christian Taylor and Jason Richardson at 4:00 p.m. EST, on Thursday, August 11.
A 2011 University of Florida graduate, Taylor is the 2011 USA Outdoors champion in the triple jump. On Saturday, August 6, he won at Crystal Place in London with a personal best jump of 17.68m/58-0.25. It was the farthest jump by and American since 2006 and is currently the fourth best jump in the world in 2011.
Richardson is a six-time NCAA All-American and the 2008 NCAA 110m hurdles champion. His recent performances in Diamond League competition have included him being the top American finisher in Lausanne and also a victory in Stockholm, finishing ahead of American record holder David Oliver. In London he was second only to world record holder Dayron Robles. His season best time of 13.08 ranks him fourth in the world.
Both men will discuss their 2011 seasons and preparations for the 2011 IAAF World Outdoor Track & Field Championships August 27-September 4 in Daegu, South Korea.
