Galen Rupp is entered in the 2011 Marathon Olympic Trials

Why not!? We all remember Galen hopping in the NYC Half earlier this year. Most thought that Galen would stay away from the Distance unitll after London but with plenty of time between the marathon and the track trials, the American 10k record holder will make his debut at the distance in Houston next month.

Its been speculated that Rupp maybe in the race just to pace his Elite teamate Ritzenhein, but do we have any reason to believe that Rupp couldn't come away with a spot on the US Squad? 

What kind of time could Rupp throw down in the distance right now? 
What does Galen do if makes the squad?
