Moses Mosop Out, Emmanuel Mutai In for Kenyan Olympic Marathon Team
NOTE ON THE NEWS - MOSOP OUT, E. MUTAI IN KENYAN OLYMPIC TEAM
The Achilles injury which had bothered Moses Mosop at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon last October has become bad enough that he has relinquished his spot on the Kenyan Olympic Marathon team. News reports from overnight say that Emmanuel Mutai, the reigning World Marathon Majors champion, will replace Mosop on the team, which was confirmed by Mutai's manager Michel Boeting on Twitter:
"I feel sorry for Moses Mosop but very happy for Emmanuel Mutai gets the opportunity to be at the Olympic Marathon in London."
