Noelle, Delaney Wrap Up USA Junior Meet
Ducks now turn their attention to the Olympic Trials.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Chad Noelle was third in a tight men’s 1,500 meter final that saw the top four runners qualify for the World Junior meet Sunday at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Austin Mudd of Wisconsin won in 3:46.50, with Izaic Yorks second in 3:46.67 and Noelle, a freshman from Greene, N.Y., third in 3:46.69. Freshman Chris Brewer was ninth in 3:53.35.
In the menÂ’s 200 meters, freshman Arthur Delaney ran a World Junior qualifying time of 21.03 in a third-place finish.
Oregon now turns its focus to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trails, which begin on Thursday.
