Rochester Hills Michigan--- Both Jake Riley (Stanford) and Colby Lowe (Oklahoma State) have chosen to continue their running careers with the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project in Rochester Hills Michigan. Kevin Hanson said, "We are extremely excited that both Jake and Colby who both have been excellent college runners in two of the best programs in the country, see the team chemistry here in Michigan as main reasons for choosing Hansons-Brooks.". " When I was looking for a pace to run, I really wanted a place with a strong group mentality" stated Jake Riley. Colby Lowe agreed saying " I selected Hansons-Brooks for the strong team chemistry"
Jake Riley comes to the program with bests of 13:31 (5000) and 28:12 (10000) and will be running both of those events in the upcoming Olympic Trials,
Colby Lowe is a 5 time All American and a member of 2 National Cross-Country Team Champions while running for Coach Dave Smith at Oklahoma State,
Keith Hanson pointed out that this program has had the luxury of having the best partner in Brooks Sports. "Brooks has been far more than just a sponsor since 2003, they have been a partner that is always asking how they can do more. This has enabled us to do more for athletes when other companies are cutting back."
