Debbie Dunn tests positive for testosterone, withdraws from Olympic relay pool
2010 World Indoor Champion at 400 meters and 4th place finisher at the 2012 Olympic Trials, Debbie Dunn, has tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone and epitestosterone, which generally indicates the use of anabolic steroids.
Dunn, who would be travelling to London as a member of the 4x400m relay team, has withdrawn from the relay pool and issued a formal statement. In the statement Dunn admitted to a positive test and stated that she doesn't want the issue to "distract from my teammates’ focus for the biggest meet of their lives."
With the Olympics just around the corner, let's hope that Dunn will be the first and only US athlete to give a positive test.
