Carmelita Jeter returns to action in Birmingham
Sprinter Carmelita Jeter will return to action at the 2013 Sainsbury Grand Prix in Birmingham, United Kingdom after scratching at the United States Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a quadricep strain. The 2011 World Champion has the wildcard entry to Moscow due to her win in Daegu.
When first announed as a participant in Birmingham, Jeter committed to the 200-meter dash. Last August, she set the Alexander Stadium record in 10.81 over 100-meters.
In August, Jeter will be joined by English Gardner, Octavious Freeman, and Alexandria Anderson as the United States' 100-meter sprinters at the IAAF World Championships.
