Lolo Jones’ track season ended at the 2013 Athletissima Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne, but the two-time Olympic hurdler is still working out as she continues quest for a spot on the U.S. Olympic bobsled team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

170 pounds was the original goal before coaches alerted Jones that hitting that number would most likely mark the end of her track career. She told the newspaper that she still hopes to run at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Jones will turn 34 on the day of the Opening Ceremonies in Brazil.
Jones is one of the most well-known figures in track and field is looking to increase interest in bobsled through her attempt to to double as Summer and Winter Olympic athletes like Eddie Egan, Hershel Walker and Clara Hughes.
Jones will compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Lake Placid, N.Y. starting on October 12. She will be joined by 2004 Olympic 100-meter silver medalist Lauryn Williams, who recently announced her retirement for track and will also attempt to make the team headed to Sochi.
