York moves to #3 and intrastate battles in PA and NY heat up

Christian Brothers Academy (NJ) was once again dominant on the NXN Northeast course at Wappinger's Falls. The squad won again with 30 points and a 16:16.22 average, just 2-seconds off of last year's stellar squad. They once again keep the #1 slot as they passed their early season test with flying colors and looked just as strong as ever.

York (IL) made a huge move to score the #3 spot with an impressive win at the Palatine Invitational with 49 points, a 15:02 average and a 48-second spread! 

At this point in the season North Allegheny (PA) is the best team in PA and they were rewarded with the #8 slot after West Chester Henderson opened their season with a dominant win over Tatnall (DE) despite their usual #1 Tony Russell out on a college visit.

Carmel (IN) won a convincing, but close battle over Columbus North (IN) at the Culver Academies Invite to remain in the #6 position. Hinsdale Central (IL) has shown steady strength to earn a spot in the rankings as well. Saratoga Springs (NY) made their debut in the rankings after losing on a tie-break to Liverpool (NY) last weekend at the Queensbury Invitational. Just this weekend, Liverpool narrowly lost to #17 ranked Fayetteville-Manlius (NY) at the McQuaid Invitational.

As the season rolls along we will surely see other teams rise up in a bid to become one of the nation's best.
