INSIDE Wisconsin (Ep.2) Premieres Tomorrow
This weekend at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational the hometown boys had a chance to either silence or confirm their doubters. And after roughly 25 minutes of turf pounding on Saturday, some answers finally emerged in the form of freshman Malachy Schrobilgen who lead the Badgers to a fourth place finish. But at a meet like Wisconsins adidas, fourth place put them in front of seven teams that were ranked ahead of the #20 Badgers, including #8 Columbia and #7 Arkansas.

After this weekend the picture becomes a little clearer for Wisconsin, and Mick Byrne was very eager to stick it to the doubters. Those arguing lack of leadership forget about the veterans still on the team that have seen Mo Ahmed, Maverick Darling, and Reed Connor take them to the top. And of course a blazing fast freshman never hurt anyone. Where will the Badgers go from here? Only Big 12s and the Great Lakes Regional can tell.

But questions of whether or not the Badgers of yesteryear could emerge again is the topic of our current INSIDE series. The questions--and doubts--raised by Ryan Fenton throughout the series were cited as a powerful motivator for the Badgers after their big finish at Wisconsin adidas, as noted by a fired up Mick Byrne below:

Episode two of INSIDE Wisconsin premieres tomorrow, and Mick Byrne and the Badgers answer the tough questions: Can they win another Big 12 Title? Can they make it to NCAAs? Who are the leaders on the team. If you’d like a behind the scenes look at this year's squad, and to find out a little more about the faces that make up the new era of Badger cross country, check out episode one of INSIDE Wisconsin.
