Happy Wednesday, Flotrack. Apparently it's fairly cold and snowy around the country, but I wouldn't really know since it's a cool 57 degrees down here in Austin, TX. I don't even know where I put my gloves. Or leggings. Or humility. I take full pride in gloating because it's inevitable that I'll be miserable this summer when it's a scorching 115 degrees in the shade. But for now, enjoy your polar vortex, suckers.

And now the "news"

Apple pie. Blue jeans. The Constitution.

One time in college, my teammate bet me $1,000 to get a tattoo on my chest of Uncle Sam riding an American flag painted monster truck on top of an eagle. The deal is still on the table.

It's too bad he doesn't live in Colorado

"My goal is to win a gold medal in both the [400m and weight lifting]… and eat as many Cheetos in one sitting as I can."

Oh wait you're serious? Let me laugh even harder

The rise of the Kenyan 4x100m team is basically the plot of Cool Runnings II, except without John Candy.

My knees hurt from reading this story

That just sounds miserable. There's a lot of other things that I'd rather do than run a marathon on an indoor track. Like, for example, eat poison.

Have a great life in America? Good, don't come back

This story actually sucks. Good luck to Dominic Channon and his girlfriend Emma Perron. But most importantly, thanks a lot, Obama.

Sherone Simpson says she's innocent after "googling" the supplement

If the "google" defense didn't hold up in my 8th grade history class, then I doubt it'll hold up in the WADA doping hearing. But if you can't trust Google, then WHO CAN YOU TRUST.

Apparently, people are actually getting paid to run (or not)

Like a used car salesman, the U.S. running scene is making deals like it's 1999.
