The best of track on Letterman
In late January, Alan Webb announced he would retire from track and field and explore his career as a professional triathlete. Less than three months later, David Letterman announced he will retire from his hit CBS late night talk show in 2015. The two share a connection as Webb appeared on Letterman’s show after shattering Jim Ryun’s high school mile record.
We;ve gathered some clips of a few track and field stars sharing stories and laughs with Letterman over the years.

100 & 200 Meter World Record Holder, Olympic and World Champion Usain Bolt
After setting three new world records and won three gold medals for Jamaica, Bolt sat down with Letterman after his herculean rise to popularity. Letterman asks Bolt about his height and how one trains to build speed.

Decathlon World Record Holder, Olympic and World Champion Ashton Eaton

American Marathoner Meb Keflezighi
Keflezighi won the 2009 New York City Marathon and made a stop at the “Late Show” to read off the Top Ten Thoughts That Go Through Your Mind While Running The New York City Marathon.
