Farah may miss Commonwealth Games
Mo Farah may miss the 2014 Commonwealth Games, according to BBC. The 31-year-old was scheduled to compete in both the 5,000-meters and 10,000-meters in Glasgow, but admits that the illness that forced him to withdraw from the Glasgow Diamond League has set him back perhaps too much.

“Hopefully I should be good but I kind of missed a bit of training and obviously I pulled out of the weekend’s grand prix,” Farah told BBC. “So I’m actually just going to get back into full training, and then we’ll see.”

Though Farah has been cleared to compete by team doctors, he will wait to decide whether he is fit enough to compete.

“My aim is to compete in both events but at the same time I’m getting back into training, I’m having this bit of training, but you know, we’ll make a decision further down the line.”

Farah is also scheduled to compete at the London Anniversary Games on July 20th.

With the possibility of no Farah, the absense of Yohan Blake, Usain Bolt only competing on Jamaica's relay squad, and a lackluster Kenyan middle-distance team, has the 2014 Commonwealth Games lost its luster?
