Farah will miss Commonwealth Games
Mo Farah has withdrawn from the Commonwealth Games, according to BBC. The 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter Olympic and World Champion has yet to recover from an illness that forced him to miss the Glasgow Diamond League Meeting and Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games.

"I really wanted to add the Commonwealth titles to my Olympic and World Championships, but the event is coming a few weeks too soon for me,” Farah told BBC.

"My body is telling me it's not ready to race yet."

After initial doubts regarding his fitness, Farah announced last week that he would be competing at the Games. But after further evaluation, Farah stated that he would “need another few weeks to get back to the level I was at in 2012 and 2013.”

The Commonwealth Games will begin Sunday, July 27th and run through Saturday, August 2nd.
