800-meter World Championship silver medalist Nick Symmonds has yet to open up his 2014 season due to a knee injury after last indoor season. Currently on the mend, Symmonds took time to accept his ALS Ice Bucket challenge from Derek Rubis and Suzy Favor Hamilton on Wednesday. 



The ice bucket challenge is the social media hit of the summer in which people drench themselves in water to raise awareness for Lou Gehrig's disease. Among other running stars to complete the challenge are Boston Marathon champion Meb Keflezighi and marathoner Kara Goucher.
