Tyson Gay lawsuit to be settled in arbitration

A judge in Fort Worth, Texas has stayed a lawsuit by coach Jon Drummond against U.S. 100-meter national record holder Tyson Gay and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. Gay tested positive for performance enhancing drugs at the 2013 U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He pointed the finger at Drummond as one of the people that encouraged his banned substance use.
Drummond has filed a lawsuit against Tyson for defamation. As a result, USADA is considering a lifetime ban for Drummond.
A stay in the case was issued until an arbitrator makes a ruling.
Gay is coming off an outdoor season in which he ran a season's best of 9.93 for 100-meters. He served a reduced suspension after cooperating with WADA in their investigation into the positive test.
