David Torrence
is originally from Tarzana, CA and is a three-time USA Road Mile champion (2009-11). The Cal-Berkeley grad won the 2012 Falmouth Mile in 3:55.79. In 2013 David clocked a personal best of 3:33.23 for 1500m in Rieti. On March 2, 2014, David set the U.S. 1000 meter indoor record, clocking 2:16.76 in Boston. David is also a member of the US team that holds the World Indoor 4x800m Record in (7:13.11, 2014, Boston).

Also in 2012, he was the fastest American Miler with his 3:52.01 PR at the Pre Classic. In 2009, he won the USA Indoor 3000m title, and in 2004, Torrence was also the USA Junior 1500m champion.

David is one of the co-founders of the Bay Area Track Club in Berkeley, CA and currently resides in Malibu, CA.
