Seb Coe will run for IAAF President
Lord Sebastian Coe has announced his intent to run for presidency of the International Association of Athletics Federation after serving as vice president since 2007.
In addition to his four Olympic medals and 11 World Records, Coe helped spearhead the London 2012 organizing commitee and looks to keep athletics alive within the Olympic Stadium. The West Ham soccer club will move into the facilities in 2016. Coe also aims to improve television viewership, sponsorships, and combat doping scandals as president.
Coe says he will publish his manifesto in early December. He is expected to be challenged by fellow vice president Sergey Bubka.
