2015 NCAA Women's High Jump Preview

Leontia Kallenou, Georgia (PB 1.92m)
Last Year: 1st Indoors, 1st Outdoors
In 2014, Kallenou swept both NCAA indoor and outdoor titles with clearances of 1.90m and 1.89m, respectively. The high jumper from Cyprus also won both SEC indoor and outdoor conference titles while breaking the outdoor meet record with a mark of 1.92m. She continued her 2014 campaign in the summer with a fourth-place finish at the Commonwealth Games.
Alyx Treasure, Kansas State (PB 1.89m)
Last Year: 10th Indoors, 2nd Outdoors
The Canadian national champion secured a runner-up finish with a mark of 1.86m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last year, her highest finish at the meet in her career. Treasure continued her 2014 season with a personal best of 1.89 to capture the Canadian national championship in June.
Dior Delophont, Kent State (PB 1.87m)
Last Year: 3rd Indoors, 10th Outdoors
The French native is a three-time indoor All American and three-time outdoor All American who is currently tied for the best mark in school history. She also competes in the long jump and triple jump, where she has also earned All American honors. In 2014 Delophont earned an MAC conference outdoor title and her highest finish at the NCAA Championships with a third-place performance in Albuquerque.

Kendell Williams, Georgia (PB 1.88m)
Last Year: N/A Indoors, N/A Outdoors
Williams did not compete in the indoor or outdoor individual high jump, but the multi-event phenom could do some serious damage if she chooses to compete this year in the event. Her personal best of 1.88m at altitude would have easily won the individual title in the high jump at last year’s indoor championships.
Taylor Burke, Florida (1.87m)
Last Year: 7th Indoors, N/A Outdoors
The Florida Gator did not compete at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships, but prior to the meet, Burke secured a third-place finish at the SEC Outdoor Championships and a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships, her first All American honor of her career. With a huge personal best mark (1.87m) posted at the SEC Indoor Championships last Feb., Burke is poised to compete well in 2015.
Amber Melville, Maryland (PB 1.86m)
Last Year: 7th Indoors, 7th Outdoors
Melville had a breakout year in 2014 with two seventh-place finishes in the high jump at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships, the first of her career at Maryland. She recorded her personal best mark of 1.86m in Feb. of 2014, and should continue to put herself in the mix in 2015.

Akela Jones, Kansas State (PB 1.87m)
Last Year: N/A Indoors, N/A Outdoors
The transfer from Oklahoma Baptist will compete for Wichita State after earning four NAIA titles in 2014 and 12 total for the Bisons. The multi-event athlete and World Junior long jump champion posted a personal best of 1.87m in the high jump at the Nebraska Tune-Up meet last February, and has already competed for Wichita State by setting the school record and meet record in the 60-meter hurdles (8.17) at the Winter Invitational.
