March Madness FloTrack vs The World

Can you beat the FloTrack Bracket?

We decided to do a fun little experiment with March Madness this weekend and create the offical FloTrack Bracket. What is the FloTrack Bracket you may ask? Basically, we took the 2015 NCAA Division 1 basketball bracket and filled it in based on the school’s 2015 indoor track and field performers.

The Process:
- We assigned a track and field athlete to each school competing in the tournament
- If the school did not have representation at the 2015 indoor championships, the school was marked as a ‘bye’.
- If a school had more than one athlete at the indoor champs the best performing athlete was selected.
- There were cases when the best performing athlete was debatable i.e.. Arkansas (McLeod vs Scott) or Oregon (Cheserek vs Jenkins vs Prandini) in each case we made a floexecutive decision.
- Once all the teams were replaced with track athletes, we then chose winners based on who had a better 2015 indoor championship performance.
- Again when the performances seemed equal we made floexecutive decisions.
