Genzebe Dibaba and Tatyana McFadden took home honors at the 2015 Laureus Awards in Shanghai, China.

Dibaba was recognized as Sportswoman of the Year after breaking three world records over the span of two weeks in 2014. She joins Usain Bolt and Jesse Owens as the only athletes to break three world records in a two-week period.

McFadden completed her second marathon Grand Slam in 2014, awarding her the Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability. The American phenom won the Boston, Chicago, London, and New York Marathons. She also broke two world records on the track and took home a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi in 1km cross country sprint.
