Ashton Eaton Cancels His WR Attempt
Ashton Eaton decided to withdraw from the 41st Hypo-Meeting in Gotzis, Austria. In what was billed as a world record decathlon attempt, Eaton did not start the first event citing an injury. According to the Associated Press Eaton suffered a lower back injury during shot put practice.
Eaton decided to address the media and fans at the Hypo-Meeting to assure them that the event will still be a great event without him and to not make the competition just about Ashton Eaton. You can watch Hypo-Meeting LIVE on FloTrack
