The Sir Walter Miler did not dissapoint, as the two lone World Championship qualifiers came away with wins tonight in Raleigh. FULL RESULTS HERE

Thanks to the pacing of Heidi See, the pace was honest kept from the gun. By the first 600m Morgan Uceny and Stephanie Garcia latched on to See and seperated themselves from the rest of the field. It would be this group of three that led together for a majority of the race, until Garcia broke away with 600m to go. Entering the final homestretch, Garcia was beginning to fade as Amanda Eccleston and Heather Wilson approached the finish line at a much faster speed. Despite the last-minute effort of the charging duo, there was not enough real estate to finish the job. Garcia took the win, as well as a new PR and world lead of 4:28.86, while Eccleston and Wilson also finished in personal record times of 4:29.06 and 4:29.39.

The men's race was strung out by the first 200m. The pacer hovered a second or so in front of the pack, coming through the 880y mark at around 1:58. In the final 200m the pack was bunched up with seven or eight runners all in contention with Cory Leslie leading into the final bend. Kyle Merber was the first to go, but in the end could not hold off the absolutely ferocious kick of Robby Andrews.
