Weekend-preview..biggest road races coming..
An exciting weekend of road racing is coming and let's go to present the 3 biggest in my opinion as:
Fifth Avenue mile in New York,Udine Halfmarathon in Italy and Dam to Damloop in Holland.

Fifth Avenue Mile will be run tomorrow at 5.45 pm GMT (women) and 6pm GMT (men ) for the 32nd time in centre of New York.As usual an incredible cast is set also for this edition and off course will be something excellent.
HERE u can find the complete field of the elite races and so understand the high level of competition created.
In men the duel is easy:Bernard Lagat,Leonel Manzano and Mathew Centrowitz the best with the first in my opinion in better shape in this moment of season. His best contender will be young Centrowitz very improved this year and reached new PB on 1500m.Jordan McNamara could do a great job near them but the surprise should be Canadian Cameron Levins the real new name of the season after an incredible year in NCAA and first positive experience in Olympics where i was impressed about his race as debut.Lagat will be my best favourite for condition but also for capacity to read the race more than others and choose to moment to give the kick.,
Jenny Simpson in women looked like in good shape after positive race in Rovereto and NewCastle.Number two will be US Shannon Rowbury but my best are british Hannah England and US Brenda Martinez really in amazing shape this month..

Udine Half Marathon is the one of the fastest halfmarathon in Italy with an HISTORY of a big respect!!
In 2007 on its course was held World half marathon champs won by Zersenay Tadesse and Lornah Kiplagat still record on the course under 59' in men and under 67' in women.Starting from women the best name will be the very young ethiopian Ayale Girma (1995) with a PB of 1h10'30.A solid athlete will be kenian Georgina Rono with 1h09'08 and 2h24'33 as Pb on road...Daily bronze could be an italian duel between marathoner Bruna Genovese,(back from motherhood and not in her better shape) and Fatna Maraoui (moroccan born) able to run 1h10'08 last autumn in Cremona.
Men-race is always a kenian-affaire and also for 2012 will be the same with 5 guys with a PB under 61' on distance and two under 60'.
Probably the big duel will be between Kenyan Evans Cheruyot and the strong ethiopian Deriba Merga.Cheruyot has 59'05 as PB run in Udine in 2007 but in last years not so good.Instead we saw Merga in Castelbuono last sunday running a solid race in fifth position with a good 31'12 on the difficult sicilian course.Kenians Eric Ndiema and William Chebor Chebon as ethiopian HaileGiorgis will be the other top in men race:we know Ndiema as a very strong guy and should be interesting know his condition now he is doing training without a coach.Chebor Chebon has won Udine and knows everything about this course:in this period of season always on shape...attention to him.Best italian on field will be local Stefano Scaini (lives less than 1km from finish line):now not a professional runner he caught his best on many distances and road become his new life.

Dam to Damloop is the only race i can produce LIVESTREAMING this weekend (from 11am CET,10am GMT,5 am ET).It's a 10miles and the startinglist it's really good.In men race so many kenyans but my favourite is only one Leonard Komon on road still WR holder of 10k and 15k.Difficult year for him due to health problems (also spoken malaria) but now he looked like completely recovered also after 10000m on track in Bruxelles where, after months of stop,he run around 27'!!Abera Kuma,Timothy Kiptoo,Daniel Chebii will be good contenders but,if correct, the best again Komon should be Emmanuel Bett winner of 10000m in Bruxelles (26'51) and well-debut last sunday in Newcastle on half (60'56).
Silvia Kibet will be number one in women...but attention to ethiopian Bezunesh Bekele...a very great duel between two great athletes:difficult to predict a women winner.Good athletes to complete elite field women as Hilda Kibet or some young africans, really difficult they can do better than two names said before!!
