Where ya Been?
Where ya Been?
Where ya Been?

Wow, it has been a long couple of months filled with a lot of travel, a lot of different places to lay my head, and a lot of fun! It was a very interesting summer, not the summer I envisioned going into this season but fun nonetheless. I am very grateful for everything I experienced and especially grateful for those life long friendships that were made or strengthened. Having a great support system is one of the key elements for being successful no matter what field you are in. So to all of those who helped me this summer, I sincerely thank you! I really have amazing friends and family and would have been, for lack of a better expression, SOL without each and every one of you. A special thank you to Lindsay and Shayla who kept me laughing all summer long through our crazy, ever changing plans.
I have been asked repeatedly what I am going to do now that I have moved out of the beautiful mountains and back to the Motherland, Texas! It is well known that this next year is a big one. The Olympic year is upon us. For me it is a year that I do not want to take huge risks on and I want to go back to what I know best. I have come to the conclusion that some of my best running as been under a great coach, Terry Jessup. Terry is amazing and I have a great relationship with him. A huge aspect of the coach/athlete relationship is trust and I trust and respect Terry's coaching abilities and decisions 100% of the time. I am really excited to be back to Terry and my home town where I will be able to create an environment conducive to the goals I want to accomplish. If you're in the Dallas area and want to go for a run, you know how to find me!
Now what shall I do with my free time? My Aunt has been nagging me to start writing down all of my recipes for the longest time. I have kept some of them but can do a much better job. With that said, I am going to be more diligent about writing down measurements and such when I am cooking so I can start writing more complete recipes. Who knows, maybe I can come up with enough to create a whole book! I'm looking into a few more things, but for the most part will be in full training mode by the winter and that is definitely my main focus. I know what y'all are thinking, a blog without pictures? I wouldn't do that to you. Below is a montage from the summer. (Miss you pockets!)
