Its independence and I am back in the US after a week in Canada...couldn't be more pumped to be in the homeland to celebrate the 4th as each of the last 3 years I have been overseas in Europe (Alex is over there right now living it up, hopefully representing the US well today!). I took the ferry last night from Victoria to Seattle and will spend some time with friends here before heading back to Austin tomorrow.

I am being given 80s gear to wear for the day and am contemplating cutting up my jeans for some serious jorts to really set the outfit off. The jeans are my favorite but have a huge hole right below the right cheek which everyone got to see two days ago in Victoria so that was pleasant. We just blew up a kiddie pool and are getting food ready to go.
