One of America's finest distance runners is once again using the Stanford Payton Jordan Invitational to debut over the 10 kilometer distance.

Matt Tegenkamp will run the 10k for the first time ever on Sunday in Palo Alto.

The former Wisconsin great has PRs of:

1500m : 3:34.25
2 mile : 8:07.07
5000 : 12:58.56

It will be interesting to see if he can come close to 27 minutes, particularly because early information has been that teammate and training partner, Chris Solinsky, will be pacing at right around a 27 minute clip.
