Stacked Men's Mile at Texas Relays Jams Up

There was a mile long traffic jam Saturday in Austin, Texas. And it didn't happen on I-35.
The men's invite mile was a complete bumper-to-bumper affair.
After the field crawled through the first 200 in about 34 seconds, it became apparent that the rest of the race would be a sit-and-kick affair.
But I don't even know if that term serves this one justice. In one of the strangest miles I've seen, the field remained bunched (and I mean BUNCHED) through about 1550 meters! The entire race unfolded in about 150 meters, with spots 1 through about 10 undecided until the final steps.
Check out the race ... you haven't seen many like this before.
