A&M Proves Superior (for now) in 1600m Relay
Texas A&M took both 4x400 titles Saturday at the Texas Relays.  With ongoing debate as to which team in the country will rule the 4x400's this season, A&M continues to take down top teams each week.

WOMEN'S 4x400

Texas A&M's ladies pulled away from Arkansas in the final two legs to secure the win in demanding fashion.  Anchor Jessica Beard (indoor 400 meter NCAA champion) anchored in 49.68!!!

MEN'S 4x400

In the final race of the day, Texas A&M left the relays with a definitive win.

Trailing USC midway through the third leg, 800 specialist Michael Preble pulled away the final 200 and handed off to indoor 400 meter champion Demetrius Pinder with a 2 second gap.

Pinder ran a solid 45.00 anchor, as the Aggies narrowly missed breaking 3:00.  They did, however, beat the meet record, previously held by Baylor (since 1985!).

JEREMY WARINER

And although they only 3:04 (only?!), here is Jeremy Wariner anchoring the Invite 4x400 winning team.  Looked like he is in great form early this season.
