MANZANO VICTORIOUS

AUSTIN - In this early season battle between a handful of elite milers, Leonel Manzano pulled away in the final 80 meters to the victory, in 1:47.8 (new Texas Relays record).  

Kicking hard coming off the curve, Manzano blew past Torrence and Jackson Kivuva to take the win.  Could be an early candidate for Kick of the Week, as Manzano needed everything he had to hold off Kivuva.

Manzano is slated to race German Fernandez and a stacked mile field on Saturday.
