Speak up and tell the USATF what you think!
The season is well under way for us here at Flotrack and the travels don't stop from now until.....shoot, maybe December! This is the start of the long haul and we are excited as we continue to move forward into 2011. We have already had two live broadcasts so far this season with Ohio State v Michigan and the Flotrack Husky Classic, both of which are different from most other broadcasts we've done in terms of the production put into it. We are going to be producing more of these shows to make this sport as exciting and entertaining as we can! This is something I am pumped about and has been a vision of ours since Mark Flo started this back in Oct 2006. This weekend we'll be broadcasting our next live show at the adidas Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho....yes I will make sure to eat some fresh spuds. We'll be going live at 3:20pm EST/12:20pm PST and I'd ask you to tune in.

The USATF has released a TV Broadcast Survey asking fans to give their opinions about the track and field broadcasts in the United States, I urge you to do this.  Speak up and let your voice be heard.  Lets see if they listen.  I think they are starting to as they have made the addition of British announcer Tim Hutchings this season.  At the same time, I really feel like they are out of touch with what sports fans want and the reasons as to why they want it.  I am sure we are in the same boat when I say that fans have had the same complaints for the past few years and it has taken a long time to see any change at all other than less coverage of the sport.  So speak up and lets see them react!

USATF TV Broadcast Survey

One place where you can and always have seen change is right here on Flotrack.  We have come a long way since 2006 and a lot of it has been with the guidance from the community.  We'd like you to still have a voice so we can keep improving.  Don't settle for a live show we are showing just because its live, let us know if you have some constructive feedback that would make track and field better!  Let this blog be a forum to give us feedback on the events we've done so far this season and after this weekend I'll start another thread to get your thoughts on Simplot.

We're looking forward to moving ahead with you and making track & field the most exciting sport in the world!
