It's Christmas time and I hope everyone is enjoying time with their families. I am in Florida right now visiting with both sides of the fam. Family holidays can be crazy at times because we all have relatives that have those special quorks to them. However, once I get with the fam I usual find that those quorks are the things that really make these visits. Everyone in the family brings something to the group which makes the dynamic what it is. I don't get much family time, so it is something I really cherish because family helps to keep you grounded when life gets a bit crazy. I am thankful for the characters (I am one of them) in my family and for how enjoyable the time is that we have together.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays as we head into the new year. Take advantage of the time you have with your family. As runners and athletes we are all pretty anal about training and our schedules. If training has been going well for you and things are on track then don't feel bad about taking today to relax and eat! Its not something we get to do much of.
