The Journey
I'm on a journey
A journey to find nothing
Not in search of anything or anyone
I know where I am going
I travel with nothing but my thoughts on my back
Barefoot with blisters
Over the terrain
Going to where the compass of my heart guides me
Adapting to weather
No coat, no clothes I am naked
I have much to offer, but I am naked
Nothing that will fade or tear away
Its just my skin, muscle and bone
I smell the earth, touch the clouds, fall down the ravines
But I continue
Searching for a hint of nothing
My steps follow the compass, into nothing my eyes can see
They are open but covered by my history, lead by the experience
No one to point or lead the way
I journey on my own, it's the only way I know, its how I survive
Left the guidance of the nest a long time ago, but I listen
I'm on the journey of life
The twists and the turns
Following what I learned from my previous steps
They have gotten me this far
Naked, proud, a bit scarred
Yet I journey with the thoughts
Passing by other travelers
They are there for their moment, sometimes my moment
Some stay longer or I leave
Many go their on route as fast as they relinquish their hunger
My skin must be thick, the scars built it
So the passer bys, they bother me not
I venture and I continue naked
With a lot to offer
Nothing that will fade or tear away
I journey in search of nothing
I adapt to life
