Life Before the World Championships

After feeling a little sluggish at the PanAm Games, the last two weeks have been the best workouts I've had in about a month. I'm stoked to go and represent the USA in Japan. Unfortunately, the last two weeks have been crazy.
After winning USAs, I decided to defer optometry school in Memphis, TN for a year to prepare for the Olympics. We had been pre-approved to buy a home there, my wife had interviewed for a good teaching position, and we sold our contract on the apartment we'd been staying in. So ever since getting back from Brazil we've been looking for a new place to live and move into it, trying to find my wife a job, trying to get me a job at Home Depot, and do workouts. And I forgot to mention that my wife turned down her dream job of teaching Home-Ec at the high school she graduated from b/c we were planning on moving to Memphis, TN. She really is an angel for putting up with me and my dreams.
Coach Eyestone,"Eazy-E" has me doing my sit-ups again and all the necessary hurdle drills. My training partner, Dr. Iain Hunter, is geting ready for the St. George Marathon and so Michigan State transfer, Stephen Shay, has been helping me out lately.
Found out I'll be rooming with Alan Webb. Probably one of the few distance runners with pipes bigger than mine. It's kind of embarrassing, but I asked him for his autograph during the indoor mile at the New Balance Armory. I kind of felt like a tool, but it was for my younger brother. Seriously, it was. I think it will be fun though.
Got to finish packing stuff and moving it into Coach's garage for a few weeks. Oh and help my wife with her Schwarzweld Cake to take to the in-laws tonight.
