The perpetually dominant University of Colorado picked up two stud recruits in Phillip Rocha (2nd at FL ’15) and Eduardo Herrera (5th at NXN ’15) late last night, and the newest Buffaloes weren’t about to make their announcements boring.
First up to bat was Herrera— runner-up behind Rocha at the California State XC meet this fall—who left us on the edge of our seats by giving us his three finalists in an initial video: Cal, Colorado, and Portland.
Luckily, Herrera didn’t make us wait long. Three minutes later, he makes it official that he's off to Boulder. The way he does it, though, well...
Herrera’s air soft antics makes Rocha’s Dances With Wolves reference seem altogether boring, but like Herrera, he deserves credit for creativity.
I guess my biggest takeaway is that the 2016 cross country season can’t get here soon enough.
