Starting Blocks...They're Not For Everyone
If you’re like me— a wannabe distance runner with exactly average athletic ability— then you probably have never truly figured out starting blocks. They’re awkward and unfamiliar, and most importantly, completely unnecessary unless you know how the heck to use them. Us slow people are better off without them. I’m pretty sure that’s how distance running was invented.

Anyways, there’s a “track” video bouncing around the Interweb of a teenager accurately portraying the struggle of a soon-to-be distance runner. New York Mag even picked up the story on the "athlete" and her “friend,” where the pair shared their mutual desire to gain “Damn, Daniel”-level fame from the viral post.

My God, 2016. Can we please go back to 2015, when at least it was Usain Bolt getting buzz for a track-ish wipeout?
