Some of track’s biggest NCAA stars will be at the Penn Challenge this weekend.

All American Tommy Awad, fresh off his third-place showing in the NCAA mile and Ivy League record of 3:57.03, will kickstart his outdoor campaign with a quick 1500m. Last year he ran 3:40 in April, so we’ll see how the national contender fairs much earlier in the season.

Penn junior Ashley Montgomery holds a 4:22 1500m PB and was a first time qualifier this fall at the NCAA Cross Country championships. She saw great performances across the board this indoor season (4:41 mile, 9:30 3000m) and should be the star of this women’s field on Saturday.
