ON THE RUN: Kate Grace Talks 800m/1500m Choices | Ep.11

Meg is out. Gordon is in. Adam and Gordon squash their podcast beef before being joined by NorCal Distance Project member Kate Grace who talks about her ultimate “what if” haircut, her early season success and not putting too many expectations on her season (2:00). Because she’s been so fast at both lately, we ask Kate if she is an 800m or 1500m runner and plans for trials (8:18), the factors that go into making that decision (9:30) and her confidence level after a year off from competing (11:45). Before we let Kate go, we run through her Twitter (12:30) and ask questions about misshapen cookies, making pizza choices and The Beatles! The guys then talk about track from the high school level to the pros (21:05), a look back (26:30) at the NCAA conference weekend and look ahead (30:40) to the NCAA championships. Plus, Gordon’s NBA lottery conspiracy theory (37:55) and Usain Bolt’s restless nights (41:00).
