FLAGSTAFF, (AZ) – June 14, 2016 – HOKA Northern Arizona Elite has announced the signing of an official sponsorship deal with Final Surge. The deal makes Final Surge the team’s exclusive online training log partner.
HOKA NAZ Elite athletes will not only track all of their personal training data on the Final Surge platform but that data will be shared with the public on finalsurge.com. Official team training plans, authored by HOKA NAZ Elite coach Ben Rosario, will be available for purchase as well.
Rosario said the move to Final Surge has been seamless.
“We have always wanted partnerships that are win-win,” Rosario said. “We love tracking our training on the Final Surge platform and we believe we can play a role in their amazing growth as brand ambassadors.”
Final Surge co-founder Tim Surface added his thoughts on the partnership.
“One of the goals of Final Surge has always been to help promote professional endurance athletes that are trying to make it on Olympic and World Championship teams. This is one way that we can give back to the running and triathlon community. As a former professional athlete, I know how hard these men and women work to accomplish their goals and I’m hoping we can play a small part in helping them achieve this. In addition, NAZ Elite does a great job of promoting the sport of running to the general public through their training logs and social media presence. This is a great opportunity to promote the sport together and grow the fan base of professional distance running.”
The HOKA NAZ Elite roster currently includes 2:12 marathoner Matt Llano and 2:28 marathon Kellyn Taylor. Llano and Taylor each finished sixth place at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials- Marathon in February. Other top stars include USATF National Cross Country Champions Craig Lutz and Amy Van Alstine as well as veterans Ben and Stephanie Bruce.
