Vashti Cunningham: Finished second in the women's high jump and is going to the Olympics.



Sammy Watson: Ran 2:04 and was eliminated in the first round of the women's 800.

Elena Bruckner: Threw 54.64m/179-3 and was eliminated in the first round of the women's discus.

Samiyah Samuels: Jumped 6.19m/20-3.75 and was eliminated in the first round of the women's long jump.

Tara Davis: Jumped 6.09m/19-11.75 and was eliminated in the first round of the women's long jump.

Michael Normaneliminated in the first round of the men's 400; won his 200 semifinal over Justin Gatlin and advanced to tonight's 200 final.

Chris Nilsen: no-heighted in the men's pole vault.

Candace Hill: advanced to women's 100 semifinal and eliminated; ran 22.93 to automatically advance to tonight's 200 semifinals.
