Anita Wlodarczyk Smashes World Record in Hammer Throw


Anita Wlodarczyk of Poland broke her own world record en route to winning her first Olympic gold medal in the hammer throw.

The two-time World champion and reigning Olympic silver medalist threw 82.29m, surpassing her previous mark of 81.08m set in August of 2015.
