Today, on St. Patrick's day at 12:00pm ET, four Irishmen including Ole Miss' Sean Tobin are attempting to take down the 4xMile indoor world record. A record that is pretty fresh, set by Hoka New Jersey*New York Track Club back on February 17th.

The time they are looking to take down is 16:12.81.

The four Irish names taking the track at the AIT Arena in Athlone between 4pm - 5pm local time, and attempting to take down the world record are Eoin Everard, John Travers, Sean Tobin and Paul Robinson.

The official results from the Hoka NJ*NY Track Club world record of 16:12 are all splits from the finish line, making mile splits tricky to figure out; by our very unofficial calculations, Donn Cabral ran 4:04, Ford Palmer ran 4:00, Graham Crawford ran 4:07, and Kyle Merber anchored a solo 3:59. Crawford was a late substitution for Colby Alexander.
