Laila Muhammad runs for South Jersey Rising Stars Track Club in Pedricktown, New Jersey. As part of the 11-year-old age group, she is looking to take home medals in three events -- 400m, 800m, and 1500m -- at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Breakdown: Muhammad finished runner-up in the AAU Region 2 400m qualifier after running 1:02.60. She was also second in both the 800m with a 2:28.80 and the 1500m with a 5:10.81. Based on the entries, she's ranked in contention to get a medal in all three of her events at the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Her best shot for a podium finish will be the 1500m, an event in which she comes in with the third-fastest seed time.
