With three nationally ranked teams and several ranked individuals, the Big 12 Conference Championship will be the perfect kickoff to the Division I conference championship weekend. Watch the showdown LIVE on FloTrack this Saturday.

Men's Race

Who: No. 14 Oklahoma State, No. 24 Iowa State, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas State, TCU
When: Saturday 9:06 AM CT
Why: For the past nine years, the Oklahoma State Cowboys have dominated the Big 12 Conference Championship. This season they are currently ranked No. 14 in the country after recently winning the Penn State National Open with 45 points over Penn State's 62. FloXC No. 10 Hassan Abdi, a senior for the Cowboys, is returning from a stunning victory at the Penn State National Open; he finished 16th as an individual at the 2016 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

No. 24 Iowa State will be looking to dethrone the Cowboys to win the program's first Big 12 title. Recently, the Cyclones notched a 16th-place finish at the competitive Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. Led by a 24th-place finish from Andrew Jordan, the Cyclones earned 479 points to beat No. 25 Iona and San Francisco.

While the Cowboys will likely repeat as champions to earn the program's 10th conference title, the Iowa State Cyclones should be in hot pursuit for an upset.

During the same weekend, fellow conference rivals Texas competed at the Pre-National Invitational where the Longhorns finished in seventh place and beat Campbell and No. 11 Arkansas. Led by a 31st-place finish from freshman Sam Worley, Texas scored all five within 50 seconds of each other. Worley arrived at Texas as one of the most coveted recruits in the country. While competing for New Braunfels Canyon, Worley notched a 4:00 mile personal best and was runner-up at Nike Cross Nationals.

In the same race at Pre-Nationals, Baylor finished 26th, Texas Tech finished 35th, and Kansas finished 40th as a team.

Women's Race

Who: No. 22 Iowa State, Texas, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas State, TCU, West Virginia
When: 10 AM CT
Why: Last year, the Iowa State Cyclones regained the conference crown after Oklahoma State won with just 34 points in 2015. This year, the Cyclones are led by a young squad that includes three freshmen in the top five scorers.

Led by a tough freshman in Callie Logue, the Cyclones have managed to earn impressive finishes at several competitive early season meets. The team notched a 13th-place finish at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, where they beat Eastern Michigan, Cal, and Utah. Prior to Wisconsin, Iowa State finished second to San Francisco at the Roy Griak Invitational. The USF Dons are currently ranked fourth in the country.

Behind Iowa State at Wisconsin was Baylor, who finished 23rd at the meet. The Bears were led by a breakthrough performance from Lindsey Bradley, who finished 13th individually and beat All-American Amy-Eloise Neale and freshman star Weini Kelati. The performance earned Bradley a No. 24 ranking on the FloXC list.

At the Pre-National Invitational, several conference rivals battled over the NCAA championship course. Texas finished 26th and Kansas finished 29th.

The Big 12 was well-represented up front at the Pre-National Invitational when Kansas All-Amercan Sharon Lokedi turned in a stellar performance. She finished eighth overall and is currently ranked No. 20 in the FloXC rankings.
