Saruni’s mark tops Cas Loxsom time of 1:14.91 from last winter.
UTEP has seen incredible success at the 600m distance of late. Saruni’s former teammate Emmanuel Korir ran 1:14.97 in Albuquerque last year, which was also a world best.
Last weekend, Saruni kicked off his indoor campaign with a 1:45.92 in the 800m. That mark is the fastest by a collegian on an oversized track.
