On Monday, the IAAF announced the 12 winners of the 2018 Indoor World Tour. Each winner will receive a wild card entry into this weekend’s IAAF World Indoor Championship in Birmingham, England. Athletes accrued points this season at six different meets throughout the world.

Of particular note is American Christina Manning in the 60m hurdles. Manning finished third behind Sharika Nelvis and Kendra Harrison at the U.S. championships, where she posted a time of 7.73. Although only there are only two entrants permitted per country, Manning’s IAAF World Indoor Tour victory means that the U.S. will have three women in the event at the 2018 World Indoor Championships.

The men’s 3000m also got a bit more competitive with Yomif Kejelcha of Ethiopia earning a wild card. He should join his Ethiopian teammates Hagos Gebrhiwet and Selemon Barega on the line in Birmingham. That will also make things a bit more competitive for Americans Paul Chelimo and Shadrack Kipchirchir as both men try to get on the podium for the United States.
