For the second straight year, FloTrack will broadcast the Hillsdale College GINA Relays live from Hillsdale, Michigan. The meet takes place April 26-28 and features collegiate teams from throughout the Midwest. The full schedule and entries can be found on the event hub. Here are a few of the top races from the 2017 edition of the meet.

Men’s 1500m: Bastian Grau Runs 3:46 From The Front

The junior from Southern Indiana went for a fast time and was all alone at the front. For the first half, it looked like he might flirt with a top Division II time in the event. He eventually slowed, but he still notched a huge victory over a strong DII field.

Women’s 3000m Steeplechase: Emily Oren Wins Steeple On Her Home Track 

DII record holder in the steeplechase, Emily Oren returned to her alma mater and kicked off her steeple season with a victory. Later that summer, Oren finished 12th in the U.S. championships.

Women’s 1500m: Rebecca Tracy Closes Hard To Win Competitive 1500m

After an opening 800m of 2:23, three women finished within two-tenths of each other in the 1500m. Tracy got the win with a time of 4:21.62, just barely ahead of Michigan State’s Dillon McClintock (4:21.67) and Cally Macumber of Hansons-Brooks (4.21.85).

Tracy also managed to win the 800m when she snuck past Taylor Stepanski of Saginaw Valley on the inside at the last moment to take the victory, 2:09.43 to 2:09.47.
