House Of Run: Simpson Breaks American Record, Centrowitz vs Chelimo

On this week’s episode of the House of Run, Jason and Kevin review Jenny Simpson’s two-mile American record, Sydney McLaughlin’s world junior record, Michael Saruni’s collegiate record, a Kenyan duo’s incredible 10K through Central Park, the controversy over the IAAF’s new gender regulations, the decision to take the 2020 Olympic Trials away from Mt. SAC, and all the other news in the running world.

Then the guys preview a busy week of track and field including Thursday’s Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, California, and the beginning of the Diamond League season on Friday.

Today Kenya announced their World Championship team for Doha later this month. One notable highlight was the selection of former NCAA 800m champion Emmanuel Korir in the 400m dash. Korir qualified for the 800m team after finishing second at the Kenyan trials, he was also selected to the 400m team due to his 44.55 performance at Kenya’s African Games trials back in June.
